Sunday, March 18

I'd never....

1.) thought I'd find out I am having a girl,
2.) thought I'd be hanging laundry on the line to dry,
3.) thought I'd let my children play in the water table,
4.) thought I'd ever let the boys make a water slide,
5.) thought I'd be shaving me legs every other day,
6.) thought I'd wish to have the air conditioner on,
7.) thought I would have sweat so much as I have,
8.) thought I'd be bit my a mosquito,
9.) thought I'd drive with the windows all open,
10.) thought I'd be walking to church,

All by the middle of March! I can't say I'm not enjoying all that I've been able to do. (Well, maybe not the shaving my legs every other day. I thought I still had a month or two of shaving like one or twice a month.) I have been loving it! But let's just hope this great weather doesn't mean a crazy hot summer!

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes

I am still in shock. What am I to do? I have never been in this situation before.
I am not going to now what to do. But I am sure I will learn.
I have to, because I am having a...
GIRL!!!!

We are all so excited! Ike is the most excited. He kept telling me that he could not handle another brother. We kept trying to tell Ike that it was not up to him on whether he was getting a brother or a sister.

I am truly still in shock. I didn't think that it was possible for me to have a daughter. I had my mind made up that I was having another son. And I was fantastically happy with that. But boy oh boy does God have other ideas for our family. I am sure that this little girl is going to be so spoiled by her brothers. Okay, maybe just Ike. The other two I am pretty sure could care a less.

Changes will be happening in this household. What if this girl is a 'girly girl'?! Wanting her hair done, and wearing dresses all the time. I won't have any idea what to do with her. And what if she is a drama filled girl?! I am used to drama filled boys, but girls are worse!

Well I do know how to paint toenails! My boys have given me much practice. And now I can paint a girls toenails and the hubby not shake his head in disgust. :-)

*Oh and another great change, Seth has got a new job! He has been working for about 3 weeks now. It is not his dream job, but he is enjoying it so far. God is good!!!

Heartbroken

I am heartbroken.
It has been a sad week for me.
My Dyson is broken!
If you know me at all, you know my love for vacuuming.
Well, I can no longer vacuum.
My Dyson is broken!
It is going to be fixed.
In like, 2-3 weeks!
Sadness is all I feel.
My Dyson is broken!
Do you have any idea how dirty my floors get?
I have 3 boys and a dog.
That is a lot of dirt.
My Dyson is broken!
On a positive note....
The Dyson Customer Service people are the best!
So quick, friendly and helpful.
I strongly recommend Dyson.
Even though....
My Dyson is Broken!
I am glad its under warranty.

Wow....

Wow....Things are a changing here. Some changes are good. But not all. And both type are happening now to me. Not to me but our family. This is a time for me to grow, grow with my relationship with my God, grow in my relationship with my Sethie, and for my belly to grow.

I am pregnant with baby #4! I was not really planing to be pregnant but as my daddy said, if your not preventing it your planing it. So I guess we really were planing baby #4. After I got done hyperventilating about this slightly unplanned pregnancy, excitement started to sneak in.

Why the hyperventilating you ask? Well at the time of finding out I was expecting, my hard working, providing husband had a not so lovely boss who was making his life at work a living hell. I have some unpleasant choice words about her but I don't think that really will help with anything. Now my husband is unemployed. He was forced to resign. Some more hyperventilating happened.

I am trying hard to be positive and strong. I know that my God would not allow more than I can handle. I just doubt myself. I am trying hard to remember I am strong enough.

There are some bonuses to Seth not working these days. He is home to help me with the boys while I am busy being sick. And not just queasy. I mean SICK! I only have about 25 more weeks and then the sickness will pass! And it will never return again.

There are lots of changes happening here.

Wow! wow

I am tired.....

I am tired of BOYS!
Tired of boys who are messy.
Tired of boys who pee ALL over the bathroom.
Tired of boys who don't flush the toilet.
Tired of boys who play in the not flushed toilet.
Tired of boys who fight and hit.
Tired of boys who are covered in dirt.
I am tired of BOYS!

However,
I love boys that have bright blue eyes.
I love boys that have to look for the moon before bed.
I love boys that say 'I lob you do'.
I love boys that are chunky.
I love boys that need nose rubs.
I love boys that cuddle.

I love his fat lil toes....

his easy going attitude....

his crazy, fluffy hair....

his blue, blue eyes....

Edison has been such a blessing to our family. I could not imagine life without him.
So thankful for this lil guy. I love you!

I think I want a Sister Wife

Have you ever seen the show SisterWives on TLC? It is slightly disturbing to me however, so intriguing. I don't have TLC however I find the episodes online at random places to watch it. If you don't know about the show or what a sister wife is, it is a about a guy and his four wives. The wives call each other sister wives. And yes the guy has FOUR wives. They are FLDS that believe in polygamy, obviously, hence the FOUR wives!

If you were to ever run into one of these gals (you know when you head to Vegas) you would never know that they live an out there odd lifestyle. They on the outside appear totally normal. They aren't like the chicks that Warren Jeffs had.

These women help each other out, with all sorts of things. They help each other with their kids, the cooking, the cleaning, whatever. They have separate homes but yet help each other greatly. It is an automatic support system. And that is what I think would be great. I don't want to share my husband. He doesn't need to be sleeping in any other chicks bed, if you get my drift. I just want the extra wife, or friend helper.

I am not saying I want a friend. I have friends. But not ones that live with me or pretty darn close like next door. And I don't have friends that we share the responsibilities with. How great would it be if I was watching all the kids while the other 'wife' was doing the grocery shopping? Or the cooking or the laundry or vice versa.

Maybe I don't necessarily want a sister wife.....maybe I should join a commune!? (once again, not one of those crazy ones that share spouses. Just responsibilities!)

Blubbering Whale....That's what I am

What a week it has been. Never in a million years did I think I would be as emotional as I have been. Why am I emotional you ask. Well I sent two little boys to school this week. Yeah I know just a little while ago I was saying how I couldn't wait to send them off. Well today, or this whole week rather, it has been a different story! I actually cried, not once but twice! The first time was at Ike's orientation day. I almost cried during the orientation but I pulled it together. Then I ran into a friend/teacher at Ike's school and then lost it! Right there in front of the school office. The second time was today. Not after sitting with Ike while he ate breakfast, no. Not after I dropped him off at his classroom for the WHOLE day. No I cried at the doctors office while picking up a form that had to filled out for Q! Really?! The doctors office. Maybe if good ol' Aunt Flo wasn't visiting I would have been able to hold it together this week better than the blubbering whale that I have been. Anyways......

Quilon is now in preschool. He was a little uncertain but once he saw that his cousin Lily was in his class he was fine. He has the same teacher had last year and she said that Q is totally different than big brother. I tried to warn her!

Ike's first day was today. He did so well and loved it so much! I am so happy and a tad sad of course. Ike is my little egger learner. I am sure that he will have an amazing year. Ike is part of the new S.T.E.M. program our district has. S.T.E.M. stands for Science Technology Electronics and Mathematics. I truly feel like this is going to be a great fit for Ike.

I think this is going to be a great year for both my boys and I am so excited to see how the grow/change in the next few years!

Michigan

Sometimes I miss my family. You know the ones that live so far away in Michigan.

I feel like I miss out on so much. Like my niece's 1st Birthday party, Sunday dinners as a family or even going to a football game my brother-in-law helps coach. And they miss out a ton with what the boys have going on. T-Ball games, first day of school, birthday parties, etc.

Sometimes I wish I could just go over to my sister and vent and cry to her in person instead of over the phone. Or to just hang out with her and be overly silly/dumb. Although I am pretty sure our hubbys much prefer us being apart!

If I didn't have texting I would feel totally disconnected from my family. With out technology I wouldn't get pictures as often as I do. And I wouldn't be able to Skype or use FaceTime. But even with all the great technology I still miss my family. It's just not the same as being their in person. Someday I will live close to them or so I hope!

I just miss my family......

Just the Two of Us

In just a few weeks I will be sending two of my kiddos off to school. Ike will be in big kid school......KINDERGARDEN! How on earth did that happen?! Quilon will be starting in preschool. Both start on the same day. What a strange day that will be for me.

I am not going to lie, I am kind of excited for Ike to go off to school. And slightly sad. Sad only because that means he is growing up so quickly. But excited because I now get a serious break from the kid! I am sure once September 6th is here I will not want to send my annoying yet smart little Ikers away to school. All day kindergarden! I don't even know if he will truly be ready. I am sure that he is ready to get rid of his annoyingly mean mom!

Quilon will be going to 2 days a week preschool. He is only gone for a couple hours so that isn't to bad. He  has no clue that he will be going to preschool. I have tried to explain it to him but he is in his own little world. It will be interesting to see him in class. Oh that poor teacher!

We went school shopping for Ike this past weekend. He was bouncing off the walls with excitement. We had to find the perfect folder and notebook for him. Spiderman of course. And we found him some black and orange tennis shoes to have school pride. Ike calls him his Herky shoes. Herky is the school mascot.

What will Edison get ourselves into the few hours a week we have to ourselves?! I am guessing he will nap most of those hours. Maybe I will join him....we shall see what we get ourselves into. I can't wait!

Summer Lovin'

Things that I am loving right now:

1. Potato Salad and Broccoli Salad that my mother-in-law makes me. Yummy!

2. My fat easy going baby.

3. Big Brother. Every summer it's my smutty tv fix.

4. My hubby who works extra hard so I can stay home with the off spring.

5. A free pool pass. Perks of the hubby's job!

6. Green beans from my backyard.

7. Boys who play all day in their undies outside. Boys as in my children not random boys.

8. Nights where I can sleep in my big comfy bed with the windows open letting in a cool breeze.

9. Swim lessons with the boys and many of their friends.

10. Netflix streaming.

11. Bike rides with the whole family. Even if I am out of shape and carrying 50+ pounds of dead weight children.

12. Watching little people playing T-Ball. So cute!!! (All should come to Ike's last game this next Monday!)

13. Grilling.

14. Staying out late(r).

And finally:
15. That summer is ending so I can send Ike off to Kindergarten!

People

I'm on the first part of my journey to Michigan. You know the one where I was supposed to ride a train but was offered a bus instead, yeah that one. Well I am a people watcher....something I have learned from my wonderful father. Or well maybe I am more of an observer. My dad will make up stories about the people and swear he knows that they are right. Sometimes he comes up with believable things and sometimes it is so far out there. But he has an imagination that's for sure. I on the other hand just notice little things and wonder 'what on earth?!'

Example Number One:

This is a picture of the guy in front of me. You know the ugly Hawaiian shirts? My dad sure does! Well this guy is wearing one similar to those but with airplanes on it! First the Hawaiian shirts with big flowers is bad but one with airplanes is just wrong. But what it gets better with this guy. He is wearing shorts, which isn't bad, but when paired with chicken legs into cowboy boots it so is! I am no fashionista but I know that's not ok. I also found it slightly humorous that this guy was also making friendship bracelets. Umm.....

Example Two:
Next to me is a mom and her teenage daughter. Well lil miss daughter has some short shorts on. She must Nair her legs. (Get it?!? 'Who wears short shorts? We wear short shorts. Nair for short shorts. Ok nevermind) I shouldn't have to see her butt checks falling out of her shorts. So not cool. What is her mother thinking going out with her like that?! I am so glad i have boys....I won't be dealing with that. (If I am we have way more issues than butts hanging out of shorts!) Together lil miss short shorts and Hawaiian shirt would almost make a Jessica Simpson during 'Dukes of Hazzards'.

Example Number Three:
Not so much a 'what on earth' but more of a wow. This cute little old lady is kitty corner to me. But I was slightly shocked with some of the items she brought with her. She has her US magazine to catch up on the gossip, her 'Harry Potter' trading cards inside a collectors 'Harry Potter' box and a really cute little purse. If it wouldn't be so obvious I would have taken a picture of her. She is wearing old lady purple pants with a striped matching top. White old lady shoes. Hair pulled up into a 'bun'. She looks like your typical grandma but apparently up on the latest celebrity gossip.

I am slightly bored on my lil trip so watching people helps pass the time some. That and my travel buddy....

He is just so cute and doing so well. Sleeping as I write.

I'm almost to my first destination! I will let you know of the great people on my next leg of the trip later.

I Paid For What?!

So I'm taking the train to Michigan tomorrow with the fat baby. Or at least I paid to take the train. I guess my train is running 6 hours behind so they are providing a bus to Chicago so I can make my connecting train to my final destination in Michigan.

I am thankful for the provided bus. However, I am pretty sure I could have bought a bus ticket if that is what I wanted to take. But I didn't want to. I wanted the train. I could have walked around with my baby, sat in the quiet cart so baby could move around some or just had tons of room at my seat. Well not now!

I hope fat baby and I still get a seat alone. Or the person next to me better love cute, fat, blue eyed babies! Oh I so hope Edison (aka fat baby) doesn't decide that tomorrow is the day to be crabby and spit up like crazy.

The train from Chicago to Dearborn, MI has a good chance of being delayed 60-90 minutes. That I was very aware of. It won't be the funnest getting there between 12:00am and 1:30am but I will at least have more room than a bus!

I am already a tad nervous traveling such a long period with a very active lil one. And this is just adding to the stress a little bit. I am sure it will be just fine but I needed to vent. And this is what my blog is for!

Secret Crush

I am not really sure why but I just LOVE So You Think You Can Dance. And I know nothing about dance. Maybe because secretly I wish that I was able to dance. And I mean DANCE. These people make you cry at times with the stories they are telling with their movements. I have a list of favorite dancers that have been on the show and favorite routines that have been done. However none compare to the feelings I have for Sasha! I am not really sure why I love her. Maybe it was because of her relationship with her sister that she has. (Her sister also tried out but didn't make it on the show. I was really hoping tho!) But she is amazing. If you don't watch SYTYCD it is a good time to start just to watch her!

This is one of my favorites....Twitch is a past favorite too.

Break Time

Sometimes I need a break. A break from everything. Parenting, marriage, friendships and family. Is that possible? Not unless you die I guess and well I am not plaining that. Nor do I want that! But I am getting a slight parenting break for a week. The big boys are visiting Grams and Papa. I still have my fat baby with me. But he is the most easy going baby EVER! I have created a long list of things to do....we shall see if I complete the list. What's on my list you ask? Well let me share that with you.

1. Mop the floors
2. Clean the freezer
3. Clean the refrigerator
4. Dust the fans
5. Dust the shelves
6. Rearrange the playroom
7. Wash everyone's bedding
8. Watch Camp Rock 2
9. Clean the boys Room
10. Clean the bathroom
11. Blog
12. Read a book
13. Finish Season 3 of 16 & Pregnant
14. Give Cooper a bath

I have half of my list already completed and the boys have only been gone one day! Ok I'm not gonna lie I might have started on my list the day before they left. It is way easier to clean while the big boys are not around. So I am going to take advantage of that time. However I am also going to use this time to watch me so great teeny bop tv. I love it!

This is a much needed break.......

On A Mission

So I am out to prove my hubby wrong. We were talking the other night about things I can do for myself. No blue eyed boys. Just me. Tessa and I have done some photography classes and I loved that. But I want something a little more regular than that. So I suggested blogging again. I can use my blog as my outlet. My place to vent or praise about my life. Yes vent! It is not easy being a stay at home momma of 3 boys. However my lil Sethie doesn't have faith in me. So I am out to prove him wrong. He knows that I enjoy blogging but that I am rather busy. So we shall see what happens.

Wish me luck!

Our Life

Wow!! Time has gone by fast...seeing how I haven't blogged for ages.

Well I am almost 18 weeks pregnant now. We get to find out what I am brewing next Monday!!! We are going to take the boys with us as well as Seth's mom. Rosetta has never had the chance of going to see an ultrasound so we figured it would be great. We are all pretty excited about going....well Q could care less. He has no clue what is going on.

So what's new in my world....not to much. We have been trying to enjoy the outside as much as possible, the boys love it! Ike is anxiously waiting for it to get warm enough for the pool to be dragged out. For now all he gets is the water table. Ike has begun a new obsession with Teddy his bear. Ever since Ike learned of me being pregnant he cares for Teddy like it is his son. Sometimes Teddy is a baby and wears a diaper wears a bib and uses a sippy cup. He also has begun taking Teddy on many adventures.
Ike reading to Teddy

Teddy going on a motorcycle ride

Q on the other hand is my little monster....literally. I am constantly having to chase after him. He thinks for some reason the front of the house is a better place to play/run away. When he is doing something naughty he turns and looks at me and gives me this grin. It is partly evil and partly the cutest thing ever. I would like the just shake that little grin off his face. It is a great thing that he is SO cute. He not only runs away from me he has also started to rip all the bedding of his bed each night, escapes out unlocked doors, and has started to bully Ike. (Not that Ike doesn't deserve it at times)

One of the many messes Q has made

Q trying to escape

What else is going on? Well we have all of a sudden gotten very busy. Seth has softball,we are preparing to have a garage sale, been ripping out ugly shrubs, planting new plants, making a new playroom for the boys and fixing up a new room for the coming baby. We have been busy indeed. And I have a feeling we won't be slowing down until fall comes back around. If then even! But we are all enjoying our lives!

Thursday, February 25

Disturbed

And I am not talking the band.....
I am talking about a few the things that I have seen recently.

First being something at McDonalds. I enjoy me some Mcdonalds, obviously! Who doesn't enjoy their all white chicken nuggets. But 50! That is right people 50!
On our way back from Michigan we stopped at one to get me a fountain Coke. (They in my opinion have the best Fountain Coke ever! My Mom would agree with me.) And that is when i saw it....the sign advertising that you can now get a 50 piece McNugget.
No not 6, 10 or 20. But 50! Why?!?
But it gets worse....they offered a 50 piece McNugget Meal complete with a large Fountain Coke and a large fry.
Who on earth needs all that! I almost threw up!
Seth tried to use a family as an example but I could not understand what family (unless you might have many kiddos) would need 50 McNuggets.
I share a 10 piece between my two boys and I.
I guess if I was having a party a 50 piece might work out!

Second I was walking thru my favorite store Target when something in the holiday card isle caught my eye.....An Easter Romance card!
Romance cards for your spouse/significant other on Easter?!?
I don't get it.....where's the romantic part in Easter?
Well there is romance when you think about what Christ did for us.
He died for me and rose so I can go to heaven....that is Love like none other.
So yeah I guess there is romance in Easter.
But not the way these cards where talking!
Dripping Chocolate and what not...NO!!!

Maybe I am missing something....If so please let me know?

Monday, February 8

And Soon there will be 3!

I am having another one!?!

Have I forgotten what hell it was once I brought Q home? Did I forgot how the transition to two children was really hard on me? Have I forgotten how my once really sweet listening obeying little Ike turned into a MONSTER once his new brother joined our family?

I must have!

But it is all worth it! And I am willing to do it all over again.
This time will hopefully go lots smoother. I am not holding my breath though.

I think Seth has brainwashed me into this. He always reminds me how much I love being pregnant and how I truly enjoy the whole birthing process too. If it were up to Seth I would have been pregnant with my third long ago!

It is a good think that I have a really helpful husband when it comes to the kids. Otherwise there would be NO way I would even considered having more. I am married to a great man that is a GREAT father too..

We are all really excited about our growing family.
Well all that understand anyways. Q is out of the loop.

Tuesday, December 15

Merry Christmas!

So if you were to get a Christmas letter from us this is what it would read......

Ahhh….Well it is that time of year again. You know, when you get all the boring Christmas letters. That updates you on the happenings of the writer and their family. Well my friends this is NOT one of those. Well maybe it is. But it is far from boring!

What has happened in the past year with us Erdmanczyk’s you might ask. For starters we are no longer communal livers. That is right we bought us our first home. And it is just us. Nobody else. Thank God!!! I wish I had a picture of it to share with you but I don’t. (I could go out and take one but as I type we are getting about a foot of snow. And well I don’t like snow and I am not going to go out there in it.)

Well Seth and I have now been married for 5 years! Short time for some of you oldies but to us that is long. And we are excited for the next five and the next five and the next five……(I’m sure you get the idea) Seth is still working for the City. We are very thankful for that, the city made some cuts and so it was a little stressful for a short bit. I am still staying home with the hoodlums boys. I do still work at the hospital in town answering the phones. Some day I will stay home and never work!(that is the goal we are trying to achieve in the near future.)

Ike is now 4! I am still not sure how that happened! He loves our house and the play set in the back yard. He is all excited about this foot of snow we are getting cuz he wants to go build a snow man. He is not doing preschool this year but will next year. Ike does however love “school”. We often do worksheets or “school” like things with him. We know our letters like nobodies business. Now to just learn our numbers that well.

Quilon aka Q is 17 months. He is a beast! In more ways than one. He is a big boy(the size of all our 2+ year old friends), loves to eat, loves to wrestle, and climb on EVERYTHING! There are some days that I don’t know how I am going to handle this kid. He is into everything at all times. But then he makes up for his craziness when he snuggles. We still snuggle together every day. I will miss that when/if he out grows it.

Well that is what is new here at our house. Hope I didn’t bore you too much.

We do hope that you have a very Blessed Christmas!!

If you were to get a Christmas picture this is what it would look like.....

I'm pretty sure that all of you who read this blog(which isn't many and mostly family I am sure) will be receiving all this in the mail. So I guess you won't really need to open it. Which then means I really didn't need to send it out. But there you have it.

Merry Christmas!
